How to send and receive crypto safely

What to check before sharing an address or confirming a transfer, from the right asset to the right network.

Receiving: share the exact wallet details

Choose the asset you expect to receive, then copy its wallet address from your account. Confirm that the sender is using the same asset and network shown with the address. Sending a different asset or using an unsupported network can result in a delayed or unrecoverable transfer.

Sending: verify more than once

Paste the recipient address rather than typing it. Check the first and last characters after pasting, choose the correct network, and review the amount before you continue. A recipient address can look similar to another one, so do not rely on a quick glance.

Keep a record

After you submit a transfer, save the transaction reference and check its status in your activity. This gives you the information needed to track the transfer or explain it to the recipient.
